Production Technician – FMCG Production

Are you passionate about machinery? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where you can drive performance on a line, solve problems, and be a hands-on technician who loves working with machinery? Do you have a sharp eye for detail on technical issues and take pride in keeping production lines running at their best and making a real impact on our operations? If so, there is an opportunity to join our production team based in Telford, working a 4 on 4 off rotational shift pattern. Want to join a successful growing business that gives great job security?

Who we are looking for:
  • An individual with a strong technical mindset, who enjoys working with machinery.
  • A flexible team player with plenty of ideas and enthusiasm who thrives under pressure.
  • Technically competent to solve problems, taking action to ensure delivery, gaining support to ensure delivery.
  • Someone excited by learning new techniques & technology, with a drive for continuous improvements and lean manufacturing.
  • An effective communicator who listens and gives clear instructions, someone who isn’t afraid of challenge, gaining support when needed from experts.
  • Ideally experienced within the food or processing industry – although not essential.
What you will be doing:
  • Stay hands-on with the machinery— spotting potential faults, investigating issues and problem solving to prevent downtime.
  • Ensure 100% compliance with Food Safety, Quality, and Health & Safety standards.
  • Running the line to standard operating procedures, which include start-up and changeovers.
  • Leading a line with machine operators, training and driving performance.
  • Liaising with development teams for improvements on standards to drive continuous improvement, supporting refining processes to boost productivity.
  • Taking ownership of the production line’s performance, ensuring it runs efficiently and is in complete control.
