ROLE: Factory/Operations Manager

We are working with a leading food manufacturer in Telford, seeking an experienced Factory/Operations Manager to lead their production team. THE CANDIDATE:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in factory or operations management within an FMCG manufacturing setting, with high-risk food production experience. You will be a hands-on leader, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency while motivating your team to excel.

DUTIES INCLUDE:

• Overseeing daily factory operations, ensuring production targets are met.
• Driving quality and food safety, ensuring compliance with BRC and industry standards.
• Managing health & safety, ensuring all policies and procedures are followed.
• Leading and developing a high-performing team, supporting training and development.
• Working with the Supply Chain team to ensure smooth and efficient production.
• Monitoring and improving factory performance metrics, reducing waste and increasing efficiency.
• Working on continuous improvement projects to enhance factory operations.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 5+ years in a Factory/Operations Manager role within an FMCG environment.
• Experience in high-risk food production (bakery experience desirable).
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• IOSH Safety Certificate & HACCP/Advanced Food Hygiene qualifications.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and commercial awareness.
