Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate production machinery safely and in accordance with procedures and training.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections and escalate non-conformances per quality procedures.
• Maintain accurate production, batch and traceability records as required by quality systems (IPC, ISO 9001/AS9100).
• Meet productivity targets and assist in maintaining equipment per maintenance plans.

Production Technician

£33,614 per annum

Our client is searching for a committed Production Technician working on Nights to carry out manufacturing and assembly operations in the production of high-reliability printed circuit boards (PCBs), to the quality, safety, and efficiency standards.

Production Technician Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out manufacturing and assembly operations in the production of PCBs in accordance with documented work instructions, process specifications, and quality standards
• Operate production machinery and equipment safely, competently, and in accordance with all relevant operating procedures and training received
• Perform visual and dimensional inspection of in-process and finished product, identifying and escalating non-conformances in accordance with the Company's quality management procedures
• Maintain accurate production records, batch records, and traceability documentation as required by quality management systems (including IPC standards, ISO 9001, and AS9100 where applicable)
• Meet productivity targets and output standards as communicated by the Production Supervisor, reporting any factors that may affect delivery schedules
• Set up, operate, and carry out basic maintenance and cleaning of production equipment and tooling in accordance with scheduled maintenance plans

Production Technician Core Requirements:

• Previous manufacturing experience
• Able to read and working from work instructions and drawings
• Assembly experience
• Used hand tools previously

Senior Quality Engineer Desirable Skills & Experience:

• Electronics assembly or related high-precision assembly / manufacturing
• PCB manufacturing and soldering skills, SMT, through-hole, wave soldering, or other relevant fabrication processes
• IPC standards (e.g. IPC-A-610, IPC-7711) and quality inspection techniques
• ISO 9001 / AS9001 awareness
