Job summary

Orion Electrotech in Fareham is seeking a proactive Senior Production Technician to join a growing manufacturing and engineering team. This hands-on role combines electromechanical assembly, cable assembly and IPC standards, with a focus on quality and on-time delivery in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will assemble and test IPCs, servers and racks, interpret drawings and work instructions, identify inconsistencies, ensure ESD compliance and take ownership of build quality

Qualifications

• Experience with IPC-A-620 acceptance criteria.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and work instructions.
• Experience in fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Assembly and test of IPCs, Servers, Racks and other electro-mechanical assemblies to defined specifications and the highest quality standards
• Interpret and accurately follow work instructions, drawings and customer requirements
• Proactively identify and challenge inconsistencies, errors or unclear instructions
• Ensure full compliance with ESD controls and handling requirements
• Take ownership of build quality, ensuring right-first-time delivery

Senior Production Technician

• £28-35,000 per annum


• 37.5 hour week (Monday to Friday 8-4)


• Based in Fareham

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Production Technician to join a growing manufacturing and engineering team based in Fareham.

This is a hands-on role that combines Electromechanical Assembly, cable assembly and working to IPC standards. Working within a fast-paced environment, you will play an important part in ensuring products meet quality standards and are delivered on schedule.
