Job summary

ABP UK in Glasgow seeks an experienced production leader to drive quality, safety and efficiency in the department. You will oversee throughput targets, maintain KPI reporting, and lead cost-saving and continuous improvement initiatives while managing staff under HACCP and GMP governance.

Responsibilities include ensuring health and safety compliance, effective use of resources, and clear communication with other departments. Regular team meetings and staff development are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience implementing HACCP and GMP practices.
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and labelling requirements.
• Proven ability to manage budgets and reduce costs.

Responsibilities

• Achieve agreed throughput and yield targets with daily monitoring.
• Maintain KPI visibility and report on pack rates and waste.
• Lead regular team meetings and staff training in line with policy.
• Ensure information flows to all relevant departments and systems (Innova).
• Manage staffing, equipment, and consumables to meet production needs.
• Drive continuous improvement projects and cost-saving initiatives.
• Ensure product quality meets customer specifications through liaison with Technical.
• Monitor and enforce health, safety and hygiene standards across the department.
