Job summary

Arabelle Solutions in the United Kingdom is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a high-performing production team, drive operational excellence, and own key KPI targets.

You will supervise production staff, enforce safety and quality protocols, analyze workflows for efficiency, prepare reports, and mentor apprentices while supporting budget and cost objectives. This role requires flexible shift patterns and weekend work; SC level clearance may be required for defence-related projects.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Production Supervisor or similar leadership role in heavy manufacturing/engineering.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and machinery.
• Capable of leading, motivating and developing teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across levels.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop production teams, creating accountability and continuous improvement.
• Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety regulations and protocols.
• Ensure product quality by implementing QA measures throughout production.
• Analyse workflows to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Prepare and present regular production performance reports and KPIs.
• Oversee training and development of employees, including apprentices.
• Set and manage production budgets and hold teams accountable for performance.
