Zusammenfassung

ABP UK is expanding at the Glasgow Penston site and seeks a Training Advisor to develop operatives in production, emphasising quality, cost control, yield, and hygiene. You will mentor new starters, maintain records, and work with Health & Safety and Technical teams to deliver effective training in a chilled environment.

You will also help update training materials, observe staff, and contribute to continuous improvement while ensuring regulatory compliance and customer specifications are met.

Qualifikationen

• Must speak, write and understand basic English.
• Basic numeracy and planning/organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation/training abilities.
• Experience with food processing/packaging operations.
• Ability to work in a chilled environment and adapt quickly.
• Proactive about health and safety and quality standards.
• Strong team collaboration and learning mindset.
• MS Office proficiency for documentation.

Aufgaben

• Carry out hands-on training for operators across the site.
• Sign off staff to company standards and customer specifications.
• Collaborate with Health & Safety and Technical teams on training delivery.
• Onboard new starters and support their early weeks.
• Mentor staff to develop production teams and skills.
• Identify staff training needs with Managers and maintain a skills matrix.
• Maintain training records and regular refresher sessions.
• Develop and update work instructions and training materials.
• Assist with training for new equipment and capital projects.
• Perform general administrative duties and uphold standards.
• Support continuous improvement projects to align training processes.
