About the Company

My client is a manufacturer of interiors for the automotive industry and is looking for a Production Supervisor to join their team on a 3-shift pattern.

About the Role

Responsibilities include:

• Managing a team of 15 to 25 operators working in the same shift
• Ensuring QCD indicators meet customer expectations
• Collaborating with other shift supervisors and the UAP manager to define QCDP targets for improvements (ppm, pph, TRS, absenteeism, accidents, ideas)
• Monitoring performance during shifts and reporting accurate data
• Managing resources to achieve results, including adjusting headcount based on volume
• Reacting to problems with containment, support, and corrective plans
• Replacing GAP leaders when necessary
• Driving improvement actions, understanding team issues, and seeking feedback
• Identifying areas for performance improvement
• Leading teamwork and problem-solving activities (5S, Hoshin, TPM, SMED, 6 Sigma)
• Generating and implementing improvement ideas
• Ensuring daily audits of standardized work and corrective actions
• Conducting weekly audits with GAP Leaders
• Aiming to dedicate 70% of time to improvement actions
• Managing daily operations and maintaining close contact on the shop floor
• Planning headcount and resource allocation daily and weekly
• Coaching GAP Leaders and team members
• Supporting problem resolution and ensuring discipline and safety compliance
• Participating in staff selection, recruitment, and onboarding
• Developing training plans and conducting performance reviews

Qualifications

Must have experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.

Required Skills

Experience in production supervision, management systems, team management of logistics operators, living within commuting distance to Litchfield, and willingness to work shifts including nights.
