Remit

1. This position will suit an experienced Production Supervisor or Shift Leader with a background in plastics who is looking to further their career.
2. Candidates MUST HAVE demonstrable experience within polymer processing, ideally injection moulding or extrusion.

Role

1. Lead and motivate a small team to ensure high work standards are maintained.
2. Maintain a high standard of housekeeping throughout the plant.
3. Ensure production equipment performs to target.
4. Minimise scrap levels.
5. Conduct regular team briefings.
6. Control overtime and record accurately for weekly payments.
7. Motivate team to achieve targets.
8. Update daily information to the kiosk system.
9. Maintain quality levels to set standards and perform daily checks.
10. Manage team performance KPIs by leading through example.
11. Ensure work is carried out according to SSOW and SOPs.
12. Lead and assist with tool changeovers.
13. Ensure compliance with all company policies, including Health & Safety.
14. Observe and follow good working practices.

Experience Requirements

1. Previous experience within a plastics manufacturing environment.
2. Knowledge of injection moulding/extrusion processes and machinery is an advantage.
3. Proficient in Microsoft Office packages.
4. Methodical approach to problem solving.
5. Ability to work on own initiative while understanding team responsibilities.
6. Excellent communication skills.
7. Ability to interact with a wide range of people.
8. Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple priorities.
9. Good time management skills.
