Headley have a new role available with our timber manufacturing company client in Leeds – seeking a night shift supervisor. This is a wood machine shop environment. The company is well established and financially stable. They have an excellent reputation in their industry sector, and this is a long term, permanent career opportunity. This is a hands-on supervisory position where you’ll work to ensure that the machine shop operates effectively on shift, production schedules are kept up to, and you’ll liaise closely with management.

Duties:

1. Scheduling and allocation of work on shift
2. Ensuring quality and quantity of production
3. Liaising with management to understand shift handovers
4. Report writing for management team
5. Maintaining H&S standards
6. Helping to suggest and implement any improvements to manufacturing processes
7. Machine setting and operating – CNC Wood machining

Requirements:

1. Experience gained in the timber / joinery manufacturing sector
2. Able to set and operate wood machinery
3. Either experience of, or ready to step up into a supervisory position
4. Able to communicate effectively with colleagues on the shop floor and at management level
5. Good attitude to work; committed, dedicated and sets a good example

The hours of work are: Monday – Thursday - 16.30 – 03.00. Overtime available on Fridays. Full time, permanent job. Additional info available on application.
