Job description

Job Title: Night shift Production Supervisor

Salary: Starting salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Location: This role will be based at HQ, Kilwaughter, Co. Antrim.

Purpose: Working in a busy production environment, you will play a key role in delivering manufacturing excellence and continuous improvements through people, plant, and process—specifically focusing on health, safety, wellbeing, customer experience, quality, and process improvement.

The focus of this role will be to coach and mentor the team to deepen cross-skilling and knowledge, build employee pride, and drive a customer-focused and continuous improvement culture.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Take responsibility for health, safety, and well-being to deliver a safety-first culture. Ensure all health and safety policies and procedures are complied with according to the company’s requirements.
2. Maintain all records and documentation in compliance with health and safety, environmental, production metrics, maintenance requests, hex boards, and ONUS.
3. Manage daily, weekly, and monthly workflows to meet production targets and ensure 100% OTIF. Ensure all production data is correctly collected and recorded at the start and end of each shift.
4. Oversee production activities, solve problems, and implement improvements to prevent recurrence. Collaborate with support departments to drive continuous improvement.
5. Monitor and improve production processes to maximize output and efficiency. Introduce LEAN techniques to enhance daily continuous improvement activities.
6. Deepen skills and knowledge of operators by fostering a culture of cross-skilling, ensuring optimal cross-training in critical plant areas.
7. Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained to high levels, fostering employee pride in their work areas.
8. Conduct daily meetings to communicate key performance indicators, production targets, and relevant departmental and organizational information.
9. Provide supervision through coaching and mentoring to promote a performance-driven culture and enhance team effectiveness.
10. Collaborate with the Warehousing Manager to uphold exceptional presentation and hygiene standards for all finished products.
11. Demonstrate resilience and ambition to build and sustain manufacturing excellence.
12. Act as an ambassador for our company values and behaviors.

Essential Criteria

• Educated to at least GCSE level.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment or similar role.
• Experience supervising production in a busy setting.
• Knowledge of current H&S legislation.
