Job summary

Pektron Group Ltd in Derby (DE21 4AP) invites applications for a Production Operator / Electronic Assembler. You will join a highly organised production facility to build, test and finish high-quality electronics as part of a team or in a cell.

The role is full-time permanent (25 hours per week), with a shift 5pm–10pm, Monday to Friday. Starting pay £12.73 per hour, plus a weekly bonus after training and overtime at enhanced rates.

Responsibilities

• Precision assembly using jigs, fixtures, hand tools and power tools.

• Finishing processes including potting, sealing and packing.

Position: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: 25 hours per week
Shift Pattern:

• Monday to Friday: 17.00 – 22.00

Pay:

• Starting Pay: £12.73 per hour
• Weekly Bonus: (following initial training)
• Overtime: Enhanced pay rates available for extra hours worked

Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Precision Assembly: Building small components using jigs, fixtures, hand tools, and power tools (screws and rivets).
• Soldering & Wiring: Hand soldering components and crimping wire contacts.
• Quality Control: Conducting close visual inspections using microscopes and magnifying devices.
• Machine Operation: Monitoring robots and automated assembly or test equipment.
• Finishing Processes: Handling potting, sealing, and encapsulating with resins, alongside plastic welding and product packing.

About You

No previous electronics experience? No problem! We provide full, ongoing support through our dedicated internal Training Academy.
