Job summary

TQR Consultancy Ltd is recruiting for Electronic Assemblers to join a world-renowned engineering manufacturer in a busy, high-quality production environment in Devon. This role is ideal for candidates with production or assembly experience who want to learn new skills and build a career in engineering.

Full training will be provided, and electronics experience is not required. You will be part of a skilled team responsible for assembly, wiring, testing and quality checks on electronic systems

Qualifications

• Candidates should have previous production, manufacturing or assembly experience.
• Good attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Able to follow drawings and written instructions.
• Reliable, hardworking and a strong team player.
• No electronics experience required; full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electronic components and PCBs.
• Wire, crimp and prepare cables.
• Coil winding and loom preparation.
• Solder components and install them.
• Assemble racks and cubicles.
• Test electronic components and systems.
• Follow technical drawings and instructions.
• Carry out quality checks.
• Work to production targets and maintain standards.

The Role

Working as part of a skilled production team, you will be involved in the assembly, wiring and testing of electronic systems used in modern rail vehicles.

• Assembly of electronic components and PCBs
• Wiring, crimping and cable preparation
• Coil winding and loom preparation
• Soldering and component installation
• Rack and cubicle assembly
• Testing electronic components and systems
• Following technical drawings and written instructions
• Carrying out quality checks
• Working to production targets and maintaining high standards

About You

• Previous production, manufacturing or assembly experience
• Good attention to detail
• Good manual dexterity
• The ability to follow instructions and processes
• A reliable and hardworking attitude
• A willingness to learn new skills
• The ability to work well as part of a team
• No previous electronics experience is required - full training will be provided.

Working Hours

• Monday to Thursday only, with a choice of shift patterns:
• 06:45 - 16:30
• 07:30 - 17:15
• 08:00 - 17:45
