Job summary

Holcim is seeking a reliable Wash plant operative to join the Bardon Hill site. You will train on day shift then move to afternoons and nights as the project progresses, with a view to a permanent role for the right candidate.

You will be responsible for managing and maintaining the wash plant, basic fault finding, monitoring product quality and ensuring belts operate correctly, with strong IT literacy and excellent communication.

• Prior experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
• Previous experience as a machine operator.
• Capacity to operate with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of isolation procedures.
• Experience in a mineral washing plant desirable.
• Strong IT literacy skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Job description

Are you an experienced Production/Machine Operative with a good understanding of static plants and isolation procedures?

Do you have a great eye for detail and fault finding?

If you answered yes then Holcim are looking for someone just like you to join them as a Wash plant operative trialling a new project. The successful candidate will be someone who has a manufacturing background, is flexible and happy to work independently.

Role - Wash plant operative

Pay -

• Day Shift ( shift finishing before 19:00) = £13.45 p/h
• Afternoon Shift (shift finishing between 19:00 - 23:00) = £17.89 p/h
• Night Shift (shift finishing between 00:00 - 06:00) = £20.17 p/h

Location- Holcim, Bardon Hill, Coalville LE67 1TD

Shift pattern- For the first 1-2 months you will be training on the day shift on £13.45 per hour, then you will move to afternoons once trained then nights.

Duration- 6-12 months initially with the view to extend or offer a permanent position

Start date - ASAP (within 1-2 weeks)
