Job summary

Holcim in Bardon Hill, Coalville is seeking a Wash plant operative to support a new project. Training will start on the day shift, with progression to afternoons and nights as you gain competence. The role focuses on operating and maintaining the wash plant, with emphasis on fault finding, product quality, and safe procedures.

The position offers training duration of 6–12 months with possible extension or permanent placement based on performance. Immediate start ASAP (1–2 weeks) is encouraged.

• Experience in a mineral washing plant (desirable).

Are you an experienced Machine Operative with a good understanding of static plants and isolation procedures?

Do you have a great eye for detail and fault finding?

If you answered yes then Holcim are looking for someone just like you to join them as a Wash plant operative trialling a new project. The successful candidate will be someone who has a manufacturing background, is flexible and happy to work independently.

Pay

£13.45 per hour for day shift, £17.62 per hour for afternoon shifts and then £19.87 per hour for night shift

Location

Holcim, Bardon Hill, Coalville LE67 1TD

Shift pattern

For the first 1-2 months you will be training on the day shift Monday to Friday. Once your training is completed you will move onto afternoons and when competent to work alone on to the night shift.

05:30 - 14:00

Afternoons

13:30 - 22:00

Nights

21:00 - 06:30

Duration

6-12 months initially with the view to extend or offer a permanent position depending on performance
