Job summary

Meridian Business Support is recruiting a Production Operative for a leading drinks manufacturer in Tadcaster. You will support bottling and packaging operations, helping to ensure products are produced safely and to quality standards, with structured training provided.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Machine Operator, Manufacturing Operative, Process Operator or similar.
• Experience in FMCG, food or drinks manufacturing is desirable.
• Ability to operate and monitor production lines and use digital systems.

Responsibilities

Meridian Business Support is recruiting for a Production Operative to join a leading drinks manufacturer in Tadcaster. Offering an excellent hourly rate, structured training and the opportunity to extend beyond the initial contract, this is a great opportunity for candidates with FMCG, food production or manufacturing experience.

As a Production Operative, you will support the bottling and packaging operation, ensuring products are produced safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:

• Operating and monitoring production machinery
• Keeping manufacturing lines supplied with materials and packaging
• Carrying out quality checks and recording results accurately
• Using digital systems to record production data
• Moving materials and finished products across the site
• Supporting housekeeping, cleaning and basic machine maintenance activities
• Following health and safety procedures at all times
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives

Shift Pattern Panama shift rotation:

• 2 on / 2 off, then 3 on / 3 off
• Days: 06:00 - 18:00
• Nights: 18:00 - 06:00
• Rotating days and nights

To be considered for this Production Operative role, you should have:

• Previous experience as a Machine Operator, Manufacturing Operative, Process Operator or similar
• FMCG, food manufacturing or drinks manufacturing experience
• Experience working on fast-paced production lines
• Knowledge of quality control procedures
• Confidence using digital production systems
• Good mechanical awareness
• IOSH or relevant health and safety training is advantageous
• Understanding of TPM, WCM or DMAIC continuous improvement methods would be beneficial
• A positive, solution-focused attitude and strong team-working skills
