Job summary

Pertemps Bond is seeking a Bottling Operative in Tadcaster to join a leading global brewery. You will work in a fast-paced production environment focusing on packaging and bottling quality while meeting production targets.

Responsibilities include operating bottling lines, loading materials, inspecting bottles and labels, and packing finished products for dispatch. Shifts rotate day and night with weekend overtime opportunities, and on-site PPE is provided.

Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing or FMCG environments preferred.
  • Machinery experience is advantageous but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Flexible to work rotating day and night shifts.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Commitment to working safely at all times.

  • Load materials onto production lines.
  • Carry out quality inspections on bottles, labels and finished products.
  • Pack products and prepare them for dispatch.
  • Identify and remove defective products.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the production area.
  • Support line changeovers and production activities.
  • Follow all health & safety and food safety procedures.
  • Report machinery faults, quality concerns or safety issues promptly.

Job description

Bottling Operative

Location: Tadcaster, North Yorkshir

Pay Rate: £14.46ph Monday-Friday until 10pm, £19.48ph After 10pm Friday until 10pm Sunday

Hours: 6:00am – 6:00pm / 6:00pm – 6:00am

Shifts: rotating days and nights shift patterns

Overtime: Weekend overtime available

Contract: Ongoing Temporary Assignment with Potential Long-Term Opportunities

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity to join a globally recognised brewery, working within a fast-paced production environment where quality, teamwork and safety are at the heart of everything they do.

As a Bottling Operative, you will play a key role in the packaging and bottling process, ensuring products are produced to the highest standards whilst meeting production targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operating and monitoring bottling and packaging equipment
  • Loading materials onto production lines
  • Carrying out quality inspections on bottles, labels and finished products

What We're Looking For
  • Previous experience within manufacturing, production, warehouse or FMCG environments is desirable
  • Experience working with machinery would be advantageous but not essential
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment
  • Good communication skills
  • Flexibility to work rotating day and night shifts
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
  • Commitment to working safely at all times
