Belcan in Cheltenham is seeking a proactive Materials & Logistics Coordinator for an initial 12-month contract to join our engineering and manufacturing facility.

The role combines hands-on materials management with purchasing and logistics coordination to ensure timely availability of materials and efficient deliveries. Candidates with stores, inventory control, or logistics experience will thrive in this environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in stores, warehouse, inventory control, purchasing, materials planning or logistics.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work independently.
• Good communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage receipt, storage, and distribution of stock, materials and components.
• Monitor inventory and coordinate replenishment to maintain stock availability.
• Raise purchase orders and follow up on supplier deliveries.
• Liaise with suppliers on pricing, lead times, availability and order status.
• Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments including transport and logistics.
• Ensure materials support production and operations requirements.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and support stock-control improvements.
