Job summary

TeamJobs is seeking an experienced Materials Coordinator for a growing engineering and manufacturing business in Totton. You will ensure production has the right materials, in the right quantities, at the right time.

You will manage BOM-based parts, monitor stock, and coordinate with stores, production and assembly. This on-site role offers 40 hours per week, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, and private medical insurance after 6 months.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing materials planning and BOMs.
• Experience with Kanban and stock control.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Experience with BOMs is essential.

Responsibilities

• Managing the day-to-day flow of materials into production.
• Working from Bills of Materials (BOMs) to ensure correct parts and quantities.
• Monitoring stock levels and preventing shortages that could impact production.
• Receiving, checking and distributing incoming goods.
• Using Kanban and MRP systems to manage and record stock.
• Coordinating materials between stores, production and assembly.
• Preparing components and project boxes ready for assembly.
• Supporting purchasing with material and external parts ordering.
• Working closely with Production, Quality, Procurement and Assembly.

• Confident managing multiple materials, components and part numbers
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
