Job summary

PHOENIX Medical Supplies Ltd. in Salford is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead our production operation.

You will oversee supervisors, team leaders and operatives across shifts to meet production plans safely and efficiently in a regulated pharmaceutical setting. You will drive continuous improvement using Lean and Kaizen, develop people, manage planning and labour deployment, and collaborate closely with Quality, Regulatory Affairs and Supply Chain.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Production Manager in manufacturing.
• Track record of improving KPIs and continuous improvement.
• Experience in regulated environments preferred.

Job Title: Production Manager

Location: Salford, Greater Manchester

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 08.00 – 16.00

We're looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead our production operation at Nupharm. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proven manufacturing or operations leader to shape a high performing team, drive continuous improvement and ensure the safe, compliant and efficient delivery of production within a regulated pharmaceutical environment.

As Production Manager, you'll lead production supervisors, team leaders and operatives across multiple shifts, ensuring operational targets are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of quality, compliance and customer service.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading all day to day production activities to deliver production plans safely, efficiently and compliantly.
• Coaching, developing and motivating Production Supervisors, Team Leaders and Production Operatives.
• Driving performance across safety, quality, service, productivity, cost and people metrics.
• Managing production planning, labour deployment and resource allocation to meet business demands.
• Working closely with Quality, Supply Chain, Warehouse and Regulatory Affairs teams to ensure operational excellence.
• Leading continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean, Kaizen and root-cause problem-solving activities.
• Supporting audits, investigations, CAPAs and operational projects.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager or Operations Manager within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership experience, with the ability to lead through supervisors and team leaders.
• A track record of improving operational performance through KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and decision-making skills.
• Experience within pharmaceutical, FMCG, food, healthcare or other regulated manufacturing environments would be highly advantageous.
