Proactive Global is seeking a Production Engineer in Bedford to bridge design and manufacturing. You will help ensure new projects are ready for manufacture, deliver efficiently, on time and to quality standards.
You will review designs for manufacturability, plan the most effective manufacturing methods and create essential process instructions. This role requires close collaboration with design, manufacturing, project and inspection teams.

We are working with a highly specialist engineering organisation in Bedford that designs and manufactures complex, bespoke engineered products for an international customer base.
Due to continued growth, they are looking for a Production Engineer to join their Design & Manufacture team, working at the point where design, project engineering and manufacturing come together.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being close to the manufacturing process and taking ownership of how technically challenging components move from design through to production.
As Production Engineer, you will help ensure new projects are ready for manufacture and delivered efficiently, on time and to the required quality standards.
We’re interested in speaking with experienced Production Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, Methods Engineers, NPI Engineers or similarly experienced engineering professionals.
Ideally, you’ll have:
Experience within aerospace, defence, motorsport, precision engineering, special-purpose machinery or another low-volume, technically complex manufacturing environment would be particularly relevant.
You’ll be joining a highly specialist engineering business working on unusual and technically challenging projects, with significant investment and modernisation planned across its manufacturing facilities, equipment and processes.
The position offers a salary of £32,000–£38,000 depending on experience, ongoing training and development and the opportunity to play a visible role within an integrated engineering and manufacturing team.
