Qualifications

  • Experience with product/system testing and regulated standards (aerospace/defense/medical).

  • Support the manufacture of complex mechanical and electrical assemblies.
  • Lead and support New Product Introduction (NPI), ensuring designs are manufacturable.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives to increase quality, efficiency, and throughput.
  • Lead New Product Introduction and ensure cost-effective designs.
  • Drive process improvements to raise quality, efficiency, and throughput.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement quick resolutions.
  • Specify tooling, fixtures, and test equipment for assembly and testing.
  • Coordinate and oversee Quality Engineer to uphold production standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the manufacture of complex mechanical and electrical assemblies.
  • Act as the link between design engineering and production operations.
  • Develop and maintain work instructions, process documentation, and quality controls.
  • Lead and support New Product Introduction (NPI), ensuring designs are manufacturable and cost-effective.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives to increase quality, efficiency, and throughput.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues quickly and effectively.
  • Specify and design tooling, fixtures, and test equipment to support assembly and testing operations.
  • Coordinate and oversee the work of the Quality Engineer to maintain consistent production standards.
Candidate Profile
  • Degree (or equivalent experience) in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a production engineering role within a mechanical/electrical manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record of working at the interface between design and production.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing methods, assembly, and system integration for mechanical/electrical products.
  • Excellent process documentation, planning, and quality management skills.
  • Confident in applying root cause analysis and structured problem-solving methods.
  • Experience with product or system testing.
  • Familiarity with regulated industry standards (e.g. aerospace, defence, automotive, medical).
  • Experience specifying or commissioning test rigs, fixtures, or production tooling.
