Job summary

Holt Engineering in Blandford is seeking a Production Engineer to support sales with manufacturing feasibility reviews and to own routings, process times, and job card data within ERP. The role interfaces with sales, engineering, customers and operations.

You will review customer designs for manufacturability, assist with quoting and feasibility, and ensure routings and data are clear before shop floor release. A manufacturing/production background and ERP literacy are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong communication with internal teams and customer engineering contacts.

• Good IT skills, including Excel, Word, Outlook and general system use.
• HNC/HND or higher in an engineering discipline is desirable, but relevant experience will also be considered.

Responsibilities

Production Engineer salary: £35,000 – £38,000

Production Engineer Overview:

• Support sales with manufacturing feasibility reviews for new and existing customer designs
• Own accurate routings, process times and job card information through ERP
• Work across NPI, manufacturability reviews, material usage and special instructions
• Liaise with customer engineering teams on DFM, concessions and production release
• Support document control, configuration and ISO9001 compliance across process data

The Production Engineer will review customer designs for manufacturability, support quoting and feasibility activity, maintain accurate production data, and make sure routings, process times and special instructions are clear before work reaches the shop floor. This Production Engineer position suits someone with a manufacturing/production background who can read engineering drawings, work with ERP systems and communicate confidently across departments.

Day-to-day responsibilities of a Production Engineer
