Overview
The Production Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Production Manager with administrative duties associated with the production and delivery of customer vehicles. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments including internal and external contacts.
Key Responsibilities
- Receipt of Vehicle
- Upon receipt of a new vehicle, issue the production build spec pack and distribute to relevant Team Leaders.
- Label up the relevant documents on receipt of the vehicle and create seat labels
- Scheduling: Update chassis schedule with key information and changes for all vehicles in production at any one time; ensure schedule is shared with relevant parties in a timely manner; ensure changes to the chassis schedule are reflected on MPS; update MPS daily with progress of vehicles. MPS freeze weekly so that financials data can be exported on a Friday.
- PDI, Tacho and PSM Programming Coordination: Liaise with relevant providers to arrange PDIs, Tachos and PSM programming for vehicles prior to customer delivery. Use the OEM portal to update the relevant codes needed for the PSM programming in a timely manner.
- Delivery of Vehicles: Organise with logistics companies delivery of final customer vehicles. Scan all relevant paperwork and certificates to create the vehicle book pack for the final vehicle ready for delivery. Arrange delivery notes for internal movements on vehicles.
Customer Liaison
- Liaise with customers on a weekly basis to advise of delivery schedules, ensuring the information is accurate at all times.
Other duties
- Create the stage 2 certificate of conformity
- Create seating labels and chassis labels for all vehicles
General Office Duties
- Offer support to other team members in the office, providing cover for the Buyer when absent.
- Answering the telephone, assisting with visitors
- Scheduling of any 3rd party fitments on vehicles in build
