Hours: 07:15-15:15, Monday to Friday
Location: Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham (on site)
Salary: Dependant on experience

We are looking for an organised and proactive Production Administrator to join our manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a busy production environment and ensuring work moves smoothly through the workshop.
What you’ll be doing
Production Coordination
- Support the day-to-day running of the workshops, ensuring jobs are moved to the correct production areas using our manufacturing systems.
- Assign jobs to the setting team and ensure work is appropriately prioritised.
- Produce daily progress and chase lists to support customer service lead times.
- Monitor production orders and proactively follow up on delays or issues.
- Collect and maintain daily production output figures.
- Support Team Leaders and Administrators to maintain the smooth flow of production.
Administration & Systems
- Maintain accurate production records and update information within our systems.
- Log incoming JBR documentation and support the assessment and processing of jewellery repairs.
- Complete general administration, including telephone calls and paperwork.
- Use Navision and other manufacturing systems to manage production information and support system processes.
Materials, Stones & Outwork
- Receive and log customer-owned stones and materials.
- Allocate customer-supplied stones to relevant production orders, including bespoke jewellery.
- Book and manage external outwork, ensuring items are accurately recorded and tracked.
- Support stock takes and maintain accurate inventory records.
- liaise with internal teams to ensure jobs, materials and stones are available when required.
Communication & Team Support
- Communicate effectively across Production, Quality, Setting, and other internal teams.
- Provide support and cover for Administrators, Quality Control and Team Leaders during absence.
- Respond to production queries and elevate issues where appropriate.
- Build positive working relationships across the workshop and wider business.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes and production workflows.
- Maintain accurate daily KPIs and production information.
- Identify potential issues before they impact production or customer service.
- Contribute ideas to improve efficiency and ways of working.
What we’re looking for
Essential
- Previous experience in a production, manufacturing, or workshop administration environment.
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with data.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive, team-focused approach with the confidence to follow up and raise issues.
- Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
Desirable
- Experience in jewellery or precision manufacturing.
- Workshop or production administration experience.
- Knowledge of bespoke jewellery, CAD, and the jewellery estimation process.
- Experience with Navision, ERP, or other manufacturing systems.
- Quality Control experience or knowledge of quality processes.
- Experience managing customer-owned materials or stones.
