Job summary

Cameron Clarke Associates, on behalf of our UKAS-accredited client in Market Drayton, is seeking a Product Safety Test Engineer to ensure products meet safety requirements and compliance before reaching the market.

You will test electrical and electronic products to standards such as BS/EN IEC 61010, 60335, 62368 and 60598, evaluate safety of designs, and prepare clear test reports in a clean laboratory setting.

Qualifications

• Qualification in electrical or electronics engineering (BTEC/degree or equivalent).
• Experience testing equipment to safety standards.
• Customer-focused with ability to manage multiple tasks; eager to progress.

Responsibilities

• Test electrical/electronic products against safety standards (BS/EN IEC 61010, 60335, 62368, 60598).
• Evaluate design for electrical/mechanical/thermal safety; endurance testing.
• Assess hazards and environmental performance at temperature and humidity.
• Verify user manuals and labelling for compliance.
• Write clear test reports using calibrated lab equipment.
• Collaborate with manufacturers/designers to support product certification.
