SGS is seeking an Electrical Product Safety Engineer in Buxton to deliver high-quality safety testing on a wide range of electrical products. The role supports both laboratory and on-site activities, ensuring compliance with standards and accreditation requirements.

You will prepare certification documents, manage workloads, and help maintain our quality systems while upholding health & safety and integrity across the team. Competitive salary with bonus potential is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Alternative HNC/HND in electrical engineering with relevant work experience.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Familiarity with EU/UK safety directives.

Responsibilities

• Conduct electrical product safety testing in the laboratory and on client sites, ensuring compliance with procedures and standards.
• Prepare accurate test reports and certification documentation and maintain accreditation requirements.
• Manage workload to meet project timelines, budgets and departmental targets.
• Support calibration and maintenance of test equipment to ensure ongoing quality.
• Adhere to health & safety, housekeeping and company policies.
