Job summary

SGS is seeking an Electrical Product Safety Engineer in Buxton to perform safety testing on a wide range of electrical products, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and ISO/IEC 17025:2017. You will support both laboratory and on-site activities while contributing to technical expertise and business growth within the team.

This permanent role requires handling test equipment, producing test reports, and maintaining accreditation with a client-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Alternative HNC/HND in electrical engineering with relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct electrical product safety testing in laboratory and on client sites to ensure compliance with procedures and standards.
• Prepare accurate test reports and certification documentation.
• Manage workload to meet project timelines, budgets and departmental targets.
• Support calibration and maintenance of test equipment to ensure compliance with quality systems.
• Maintain high health & safety standards and adhere to company policies.
