Job summary

Kainos seeks a Product Consultant to lead backlog maturity and MVP delivery, taking ownership from inception to delivery while engaging stakeholders across the project. You will run agile ceremonies, facilitate workshops, and shape value delivery for external clients.

You will mentor junior team members, manage performance, and contribute to sales activities and bids to win new work. This role emphasizes collaboration and delivery excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience in bespoke software delivery as part of an external customer-facing agile team.
• Defence sector experience is a plus and Active DV clearance is required or essential.
• Experience with software development lifecycle from analysis to live operations.
• Excellent facilitator of workshops and able to drive consensus among stakeholders.
• Proven ability to translate requirements into well-defined user stories and manage backlogs.
• Strong communication with internal and external stakeholders and ability to mentor juniors.

Responsibilities

• Own backlog maturity and MVP delivery across features from inception to delivery.
• Lead agile ceremonies and run workshops with diverse stakeholders to enable consensus.
• Coach and develop a small team, manage performance and provide feedback.
• Collaborate with sales and project teams on bids and customer proposals.
