Job summary

Kainos is seeking a Product Consultant to own backlog maturity and drive MVP thinking from inception to delivery. You will communicate value to the team, manage stakeholder relationships, and lead agile ceremonies. You will also plan workshops and support the delivery of cross-functional initiatives.

You will coach junior staff, manage performance, and collaborate closely with clients in a fast-paced environment. DV clearance is preferred for this client-facing role.

Qualifications

• Experience in bespoke software delivery within an agile team.
• Defence sector experience is desirable.
• Active DV clearance is preferred.
• Experience from analysis to live operations in SDLC.
• Excellent workshop facilitation for stakeholder groups.
• Ability to model As-is and To-be processes for buy-in.
• Stakeholder management with collaborative communication.
• Breakdown of work from inception to delivery with backlog ownership.
• Elicitation of functional/technical/non-functional requirements
• Strong prioritisation to refine backlog and dependencies
• Proven ability to shape MVP scope within budget and deadlines
• Experience explaining technical jargon to non-technical teams

Responsibilities

• Own the team backlog and drive MVP thinking end-to-end.
• Lead agile ceremonies, plan workshops, and facilitate consensus.
• Develop and coach staff, focusing on performance and growth.
