About the Role

About the Role: Grade Level (for internal use): 12

As a Product Manager, you will define and lead the strategic direction, roadmap, and evolution of a key product area within S&P Global Ratings. You'll operate at the Agile Release Train (ART) level, managing cross-functional delivery with a design flow orientation that aligns with enterprise strategy and delivers measurable value to our global users.

The Team

The Ratings division is dedicated to delivering high-quality insights and solutions that drive informed decision-making in the financial services industry. We foster a dynamic environment where creativity meets operational efficiency, ensuring that our products meet the evolving needs of our clients.

The Impact

This role is crucial in shaping the product landscape that directly influences our clients' success and the overall market. By driving the platform strategy and ensuring alignment across teams, you will enhance the user experience and deliver significant value to our clients, ultimately supporting S&P Global Ratings' mission to provide trusted insights.

What You Stand to Gain

Key Responsibilities
  • Define, evolve, and communicate the product vision and strategy aligned with end-to-end workflows, future-state architecture, and business objectives.
  • Manage and develop a team of talented Product Owners, supporting both their ability to execute and grow.
  • Lead the roadmap for the ART, partnering with Value Stream leaders and stakeholders across regions to ensure scalable, unified outcomes.
  • Guide platform evolution with a holistic understanding of user journeys, process efficiencies, data flows, and customer experience.
  • Own and manage the program backlog: define Features, prioritize using WSJF, and ensure MVPs are scoped and aligned to Definition of Ready (DoR).
  • Validate feature development against acceptance criteria and non-functional requirements; approve for release and support post-launch feedback loops.
  • Participate in System Demos, continuously gather user input, and feed insights into future releases and roadmap updates.
  • Drive ART readiness for PI Planning by coordinating across Product Owners, Architects, and Business Owners to align scope and objectives.
  • Ensure visibility through tools and forums such as program dashboards, PI tracking, and demos to communicate status, risks, and value delivered.
  • Lead trade-off decisions that balance customer needs, architectural integrity, and business value.
  • Ensure alignment across teams on product goals and roadmap; promote understanding of the full user journey and platform context.
  • Coordinate cross-team and cross-stream dependencies; escalate blockers and misalignments as needed.
  • Partner with Product Enablement to support go-to-market and adoption strategies through training, communication, and change management.
