Job summary

Allstate Northern Ireland Limited is hiring a Product Engineer - Lead Consultant in a hybrid Belfast role. You will design and build software for risk management, owning end-to-end product capabilities from design to production support.

You will write production code across React frontend, Java Spring Boot backend, and data services, applying TDD, code reviews, and automated testing to deliver reliable risk-control solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of software engineering experience with ownership of production systems.
• Proficiency in React, Java and Spring Boot for full-stack development.
• Experience with modern development workflows and practices such as TDD, code reviews, and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate software products for risk management and control workflows.
• Own product capabilities end-to-end, including architecture and deployment.
• Develop APIs, back-end services, REST interfaces, SQL data stores, and event-driven components.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to align with risk needs.
