Job summary

Allstate NI is seeking Product Risk Engineers to design, build, and operate risk management software across front-end React, Spring Boot services, and data layers. You will own production capabilities end to end, including architecture, deployment, and ongoing operational support in a scalable, secure environment.

You will apply modern engineering practices (TDD, paired programming, code review, automated testing) and drive adoption of CI/CD.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of software engineering experience with ownership of production systems.
• Hands-on proficiency in React, Java, and Spring Boot.
• At least 1 year of coaching or mentoring engineers to raise team capability.
• Experience designing, developing, and integrating APIs, REST interfaces, SQL data stores, and event-driven components (e.g., Kafka).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate software products supporting risk management and control workflows.
• Own risk engineering product capabilities end-to-end including architecture and deployment.
• Write, test, and maintain production code across React front ends, Spring Boot services, SQL layers, and microservices.
• Apply test-driven development, paired programming, code review, automated testing, and CI/CD.
• Contribute to scalable, reliable, secure designs with focus on risk control outcomes.
• Evaluate new technologies to improve usability, performance, and automation.
• Collaborate with product managers and platform teams to align capabilities with risk needs.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and uphold production ownership.
