Allstate NI in Belfast seeks Product Security Engineers who own the full software development lifecycle—from design through deployment and production support. You will write and maintain production code, operate services in real-world environments, and are accountable for reliability and security risk reductions.

Qualifications

• Legal right to work in the UK; Allstate cannot sponsor.
• 3+ years of software engineering experience across full SDLC with production systems ownership.
• Experience designing, building, and operating scalable distributed systems and cloud-based applications.
• Experience designing, developing, and integrating APIs and backend services including REST-based interfaces.
• Experience working in agile delivery models with product managers, engineers, and partner teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate enterprise security controls as software products integrated into the SDLC and core enterprise platforms.
• Own security control capabilities end-to-end—architecture, deployment, and production support.
• Write, test, and maintain high-quality production code while meeting delivery and reliability expectations.
• Apply engineering best practices such as test-driven development, paired programming, and CI/CD.
• Contribute to high- and low-level system and component designs focusing on scalability, reliability, and security outcomes.
• Continuously evaluate and adopt new technologies and patterns to improve effectiveness and usability of security controls.
• Collaborate with product managers, platform teams, and partner engineering groups to align security controls with enterprise needs.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and foster a culture of fast feedback and incremental delivery.
