Job description

Roland Mouret is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Product Developer to lead the development of all product categories, ensuring the brand’s creative vision is executed to the highest standard. This role requires close collaboration with the Design team and oversee the full product development lifecycle from range plan handover and seasonal design launch through to delivery of selling samples ensuring cost-effective construction and deadlines are met.
A key responsibility includes daily liaison with suppliers and manufacturers, monitoring development progress, and maintaining full control of the critical path to guarantee on-time delivery across all categories.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
  • 6+ years’ experience in luxury womenswear Product Development
  • Proven expertise across structured, tailored, draped and multi-product womenswear.
  • Strong knowledge of fabric and trim development, sourcing, and innovation.
  • Exceptional technical understanding of material, trims, garment construction, and testing standards.
  • Strong experience managing suppliers and resolving challenges within complex product categories.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and confident managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong critical‑path management, forward planning skills, and materials library management.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively, with a supportive approach of wider team needs.
  • Clear, professional communicator with strong cross‑functional leadership skills
  • Comfortable attending fittings with the ability to advise on fabric and trim suitability.
  • Proficiency in PLM/Zedonk preferred.
  • Calm under pressure, solutions‑driven and committed to continuous improvement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead seasonal development cycles, ensuring all styles are executed to a luxury standard while protecting the brand’s aesthetic codes.
  • Identify fabric, trim, and construction innovations that elevate the brand’s offering for seasons ahead.
  • Partner closely with Design to refine concepts, advise on feasibility, and deliver prototypes that balance creativity and commercial needs.
  • Ensure all raw materials, trims, and finishes meet brand quality standards and performance requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, and manufacturers, ensuring alignment with brand expectations.
  • Manage and enforce the critical path across all categories, ensuring deadlines are achieved at every stage from concept through production handover.
  • Collaborate closely with the Technical, Production, and overseas teams to ensure smooth transitions between development stages.
  • Support Sales with detailed product and material knowledge.
  • Attend initial and press fittings, communicate changes to fabrication & trim across each fit stage.
  • Oversee critical‑path dates across all fit stages.
  • Manage production handover, lab dip approvals and ensure all materials meet the required standards.
