Job Title: Product Configuration Engineer (Compact Wheel Loader)
Salary: £47,700 - £56,600 depending on experience
Contract: Full time & permanent
Location: Desford, Leicestershire
The Opportunity
As a Product Configuration Engineer, you’ll own and manage the product configurations and options for our industry-leading mobile construction products. Based in Desford, UK, you’ll join the technical team shaping the next generation of Compact Wheel Loaders. This is a key role within product development and manufacturing, where you’ll help ensure our machines meet the highest standards.
As a Product Configuration Engineer, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Creating and owning the engineering master models and machine bills-of-material.
Preparing and developing configuration documentation required to support product manufacturing operations.
Reviewing engineering change data and documentation to ensure alignment with established change management processes and policies.
Coordinating with product development groups, sales and marketing, supply chain, manufacturing operations and other stakeholders to implement engineering changes.
Communicating to stakeholders and participating functional areas through clear presentations and detailed reports.
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across corporate engineering systems and process.

What you can demonstrate:
Computer-Aided Design & Engineering: Knowledge of 3D CAD (ideally CREO) with an ability to create assemblies and bills-of-material using co-ordinate systems, and knowledge of engineering data management systems (ideally Teamcenter) with an ability to identify, evaluate, approve, monitor, document and implement changes.
Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis, and an ability to create alternative solutions to resolve problems.
Managing Multiple Priorities: An ability to make effective judgements to prioritise time and progress multiple concurrent activities.
Effective Communications: Excellent communication skills and a continuous learning mindset which enable you to work effectively in a diverse and global team, and deliver and receive constructive feedback.
Top candidates will also have:
Master’s Engineering Degree or equivalent level 7 qualification.
Knowledge of the design, development, manufacture and lifecycle of mobile construction equipment.
A demonstrable understanding of product development systems and processes including requirements development, analytical approaches and problem-solving methodologies.
