Job Opportunity: Procurement Operations Officer at University of the Arts London

Established in 2004, it comprises 6 esteemed colleges in Arts, Design, Fashion, and Media, with roots dating back to the 19th and early 20th centuries.

Located within the historic Central Saint Martin’s college, near Kings Cross Station, the university offers a vibrant, modern work environment. Staff are expected to work in-office approximately 50% of the time, primarily on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Role Overview: Reporting to the Procurement Lead, the Procurement Operations Officer will manage operational procurement processes, systems, and practices. The role involves engaging with stakeholders to support below-threshold purchasing, focusing on the university’s colleges. Responsibilities include providing reporting, data analysis, business intelligence, and insights to inform procurement strategies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and promoting best practice principles to support university accreditation and ethical commitments.

About You:

  • Experience in procurement within a complex environment.
  • Professional qualification such as CIPS / NVQ level 4 or higher (desired or in progress).
  • Knowledge of procurement practices including sourcing, contract management, supplier relationship management, frameworks, and UK procurement regulations.
  • Experience managing high-volume, low-value spend.
  • Knowledge of eProcurement, ERP/Finance systems, and reporting tools.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, with Excel and PowerBI skills desirable.
  • Experience handling large data sets and creating procurement-related presentations.
  • Ability to build successful relationships with stakeholders.
