Job Summary

We are seeking a Procurement Operations Manager for our Procurement/Supplier Quality department in Papendrecht. This role involves leading the Purchase-to-Pay process, overseeing the operational performance of suppliers involved in wiring activities at Fokker Elmo. You will lead a team of operational buyers and supplier quality engineers responsible for ensuring timely delivery aligned with operational performance standards. Your focus will be on resource management, achieving performance objectives, continuous improvement, people development, and supplier delivery performance. This position reports to the Site Director.

Job Responsibilities

As Procurement Operations Manager, your responsibilities include:

• Leading a team of operational buyers responsible for ensuring supplier delivery in line with performance requirements across approximately £45m spend.
• Managing the performance, development, and succession planning of the procurement team.
• Applying supplier scheduling in accordance with the production plan and maintaining accurate supplier and parts data within the MRP system.
• Embedding standard procurement processes, including daily reviews, weekly KPI meetings, and maintaining daily team routines.
• Collaborating with other procurement teams to standardize processes.
• Ensuring the accuracy of supplier and parts data within the MRP/ERP system.
• Ensuring material availability and optimal inventory levels.
• Developing and implementing continuous improvement plans for operational procurement.
• Managing internal customer relationships and stakeholder engagement.

Job Qualifications

• BSc degree or equivalent in Business, Engineering, or Science.
• At least 10 years of relevant business experience.
• Minimum of 5 years in Procurement SCM or Production Management.
• Significant experience with an international supply base.
• Ability to build relationships with supplier networks and understand supplier processes.
• Proven ability to develop a performance-oriented organization.
• Leadership experience working with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical, decisiveness, customer focus, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in English and Dutch, both written and spoken.
