Job summary

Mane Contract Services is seeking a Purchasing Expeditor for a temporary role within our supply chain. You will chase and expedite Purchase Orders, liaise with vendors and shippers, and maintain shortage and performance metrics to ensure timely delivery and adherence to SLAs.

The role requires strong Excel proficiency, experience with ERP/MRP systems, and the ability to work in a small team while upholding our ethical standards.

Qualifications

• The ability to work as part of a small and busy team.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
• Demonstrate knowledge of Purchase Order and Expediting processes.
• Excellent PC skills, especially Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Agile PLM is an advantage.
• ERP/MRP experience; Navision/D365 MRP desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide performance metrics.
• Communicate to vendors efficiently.
• Ensure supplier invoices and shipping paperwork are administered accurately.
• Chase up and expedite Purchase Orders to meet SLAs.
• Contact vendors and shippers to verify shipment dates.
• Coordinate with Transportation Company to prevent delays in transit.
• Handle vendor service issues, such as delays or quality problems.
• Find solutions to delays and vendor errors as they arise.
• Work with departments to determine quantities of goods required.
• Maintain an accurate Shortage Report.
• Track orders from placement through delivery.
• Inspect goods on delivery for quality and quantity.
• Arrange for distribution of materials on arrival.
• Produce meaningful metrics.
• Maintain relationships with assigned vendors.
• Uphold the company's values and Code of Ethics.
• Report quality problems to management for corrective action.
• Duties may be modified to meet business needs.
