A leading council is looking for a procurement administrator to support their procurement team. This role involves managing procurement documentation, liaising with suppliers, and ensuring effective communication. The ideal candidate will have strong organisational and communication skills, and experience with IT tools.
A procurement administrator plays a critical role in supporting the procurement team and ensuring the effective management of corporate contracts and procurement processes. This position requires a detail-oriented professional who can provide comprehensive administrative support to streamline procurement activities. Key responsibilities include managing and organising procurement documentation, maintaining accurate records of contracts and processes, and assisting with the preparation of procurement documents. The procurement administrator also serves as a liaison between the procurement team, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, facilitating clear communication and efficient problem-solving. To be successful in this role, a procurement administrator must have strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. They should also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with suppliers.
