Job summary

pladis Global is seeking a Head of Process Excellence to lead the development and deployment of best-in-class process management across R&D and manufacturing in the UK&I. You will drive continuous improvement, operational efficiency, waste reduction and technical capability while shaping the strategy to improve performance and unlock productivity.

You will embed Lean Six Sigma, SPC and robust trial design, working with engineering, operations and site teams to implement new assets, technologies

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Food Science or Manufacturing.
• Significant experience in process improvement within manufacturing or R&D.
• Strong practical knowledge of Lean Six Sigma, SPC, process capability and RCA.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting process data and KPIs.
• Experience supporting new machinery or capital investments from a process perspective.

Responsibilities

• Strategic leadership: develop and execute a process excellence strategy aligned to priorities.
• Continuous improvement: lead Lean Six Sigma to deliver sustainable gains across quality, cost and waste.
• SPC and data-led performance: embed SPC and performance routines to reduce variation.
• Technical DOE leadership: partner with Eng, Ops and site teams to design experiments.
• Cross-functional delivery: align priorities with Engineering, Operations, Quality and more.
• Capability building: oversee training in Lean Six Sigma, SPC, RCA and trial design.
• Waste reduction: identify and eliminate waste across all forms.
• Executive reporting: define KPIs and present progress to senior stakeholders.
