Job summary

pladis Foods Limited, a global biscuits and confectionery business, seeks a Head of Process Excellence to lead best-in-class process management across R&D and manufacturing, driving continuous improvement, waste reduction and technical capability.

You will embed Lean Six Sigma, SPC and DOE, partnering with Engineering, Operations and Quality to deliver strategic initiatives at pace across UK&I. A senior leader with a track record in manufacturing and data-driven change is ideal for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Food Science or Manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Six Sigma, SPC and root cause analysis.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and data-driven improvement.

Responsibilities

• Strategic leadership: Develop and execute a process excellence strategy aligned to UK&I priorities.
• Continuous improvement: Lead Lean Six Sigma across quality, cost, capacity and waste.
• SPC and data-led performance: Embed SPC and performance routines to reduce variation.
• Technical DOE leadership: Design experiments to optimise machinery settings and new tech.
• Cross-functional delivery: Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Quality and Supply Chain.
• Capability building: Oversee training in Lean Six Sigma, root cause analysis and trials.
• Waste reduction: Identify and eliminate waste across production and processes.
• Executive reporting: Define KPIs and present progress to senior stakeholders.
