Job summary

pladis in Manchester is seeking a Head of Process Excellence to lead the development and deployment of world-class process management across R&D and manufacturing. You will drive continuous improvement, waste reduction and productivity by embedding Lean Six Sigma, SPC and robust trial design to improve performance and support new assets and technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Food Science or Manufacturing.
• Significant experience in process improvement, process engineering or operations leadership.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Six Sigma, SPC, process capability and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Strategic leadership: Develop and execute a process excellence strategy for UK&I.
• Continuous improvement: Lead Lean Six Sigma to improve quality, cost, capacity and waste.
• SPC and data-led performance: Embed SPC and performance routines to improve capability.
• Technical DOE leadership: Design experiments to optimise machinery settings and new technology.
• Cross-functional delivery: Align with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Procurement, Supply Chain and R&D.
• Capability building: Establish training programs in Lean Six Sigma, SPC and RCA.
• Waste reduction: Identify and eliminate waste across all forms.
• Executive reporting: Define KPIs and present progress to senior stakeholders.
