Job summary

GSK is seeking a Process Engineer for the Drug Substance Development team at the Stevenage R&D site. The role focuses on practical lab work and applying digital tools to guide process development and scale-up for future manufacturing.

The candidate will design scale-up experiments, analyse data, and collaborate with chemists and material scientists to build process understanding, ensuring compliance with cGMP and safety in the lab.

Qualifications

• BSc/BEng/Masters/PhD in Process/Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in a plant and/or direct laboratory work in the pharmaceutical industry or related sector.

Responsibilities

• Design and conduct scale-up/down experiments across chemical engineering unit operations.
• Develop robust, scalable pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
• Use digital data and analytics to inform process-development decisions and risk management.
• Contribute to technology-transfer activities with manufacturing partners.
