Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb is hiring a Process Engineer for the Chemical Process Development team in Moreton, UK. You will interface with internal science teams and external CDMOs to scale processes safely and efficiently, delivering clinical supplies and process development for drug substances.

Ideal candidates have a strong chemical engineering background, 10–15 years in industrial manufacturing (GMP preferred), and the ability to manage multiple workstreams with stakeholders worldwide.

Qualifications

• Ability to read a lab protocol and visualise operation in production.
• Identify scale-up risks before incidents occur.
• Demonstrated communication across multi-disciplinary teams.
• Strong understanding of GMP environments.

Responsibilities

• Review batch records for hazardous chemistry campaigns to ensure safety, quality, and feasibility.
• Walk CDMO facilities (virtual or on-site) to assess equipment fit and required changes.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues using engineering fundamentals and cross-functional collaboration.
• Present risk assessments and recommendations to leadership in clear, actionable terms.
• Build strong relationships with CDMO partners across the world to improve collaboration.
