Placements24 seeks a Process Development Engineer to optimize and scale up pharmaceutical manufacturing in East London. You will bridge engineering and pharmaceutical science to drive robust, compliant production methods and enable tech transfer from development to commercial scale.

The role has a significant impact on production efficiency and product quality within a growing facility, with a hybrid work setup combining on-site collaboration in East London and remote work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in process development or manufacturing within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience scaling up chemical or pharmaceutical processes.
• Strong understanding of GMP, process validation, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and scale-up pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, ensuring robustness and efficiency.
• Design and execute experiments to evaluate process parameters and identify critical process controls.
• Troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues encountered during manufacturing.
• Collaborate with R&D, Quality Assurance, and Production teams to ensure successful technology transfer.
• Develop validation strategies and protocols for new and modified manufacturing processes.
• Stay current with new technologies and industry best practices in pharmaceutical process engineering.
