Job summary

NMS Recruit Ltd t/a Russell Taylor Group is seeking a Process Engineer for a 12-month contract in the Birmingham area. The role offers hybrid/remote working options and an outside IR35 arrangement, with a rate of £55 per hour.

The successful candidate will contribute across the full project lifecycle, produce process calculations and PFDs/P&IDs, and support HAZOPs and commissioning activities as needed. A technically challenging project awaits in a regulated industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Process Engineer in industrial or process environments.
• Knowledge of full project lifecycle from FEED to commissioning.
• Experience supporting HAZOP studies.
• Experience producing PFDs and P&IDs.
• Awareness of process safety principles and standards.

• Supporting process engineering activities across the full project lifecycle.
• Delivering front-end engineering studies and process design activities.
• Producing process calculations, mass balances and technical documentation.
• Supporting HAZOPs and other process safety reviews.
• Working with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

• Ensuring designs comply with industry standards and regulations.
• Supporting process optimisation and continuous improvement.

Process Engineer - 12 Month Contract

Where will you be doing it?

You'll be joining a well-established engineering business delivering complex projects within highly regulated industrial environments. Their teams work on technically demanding projects covering everything from early-stage studies through to full delivery and commissioning.

What you'll need

• Experience working as a Process Engineer within industrial or process environments
• Strong understanding of the full project lifecycle from FEED/concept through to commissioning
• Experience supporting or participating in HAZOP studies
• Experience producing process engineering documentation including PFDs and P&IDs
• Knowledge of process safety principles and engineering standards
• Ability to work within multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
