DATS Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Chemical Process Engineer for a Manchester-based role on a 6-month contract, with hybrid work (3 days in office, 2 from home). The project focuses on the detailed design of a new pharmaceutical facility in the life sciences sector, including API manufacturing and FEED support.
The role requires BPSS eligibility, no sponsorship, and experience in synthesis and purification, as well as PFDs/P&IDs, safety design, and process equipment specs.
We are seeking a Senior Chemical Process Engineer to join our client based in Manchester working on a 6 month contract basis with the possibility for further extension. This is to work on the detailed design of a new pharmaceutical facility in the life sciences sector.
This will be a hybrid working role, based in the office 3 days per week (strictly - no room for negotiation) and 2 days from home. This is also an inside IR35 role so candidates will not be able to use a Limited Company. Umbrella or our agency PAYE will be possible and we believe a gross umbrella figure around £50-£65 p/h will be available - based on level of experience and suitability. Candidates will require existing eligibility to work in the UK as no sponsorship is available and they must be able to obtain basic (BPSS) level security clearance. They must possess prior experience working on API manufacturing facilities and pharmaceutical process plants, and have experience supporting FEED and detailed design projects. Technologies include synthesis and purification. The role will also involve the design of ancillary systems to support the facility. Tasks may include, but are not limited to: P&ID development, utility sizing, and safety design, including relief systems and vent systems.
