Job summary

The Supply Register is recruiting an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support Lightcliffe Primary School in Halifax. This HLTA role involves delivering pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher, leading small-group interventions, and providing 1:1 support across the primary phase.

The successful candidate will have HLTA qualification or strong TA experience, with proven cover experience, excellent communication and behaviour management skills, and a DBS Update Service

Qualifications

• HLTA qualification or strong TA experience with proven cover experience
• Confident delivering lessons independently
• Strong behaviour management skills
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities
• A proactive, flexible and supportive approach
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (essential)

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher
• Lead small-group interventions and targeted support
• Provide 1:1 support where required
• Assist with behaviour management and pupil engagement
• Support teachers with planning, assessment and classroom routines
• Help maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment
