Job summary

Stoke-on-Trent City Council seeks a Private Sector Housing Coordinator to join the Private Sector Housing Team. You will support the implementation of the Renters Rights Act, coordinate compliance activity, assist frontline officers and help deliver statutory housing duties.

You will analyse service data, manage government returns, support regulatory activity and act as a central contact for landlords, tenants and partner agencies.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating workloads, projects or admin functions in housing/regulatory/local government.
• Strong ability to collate, interpret and report on complex data and performance information.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• Confident communicator capable of building relationships with landlords, tenants and partners.
• Proficient in IT systems and MS Office applications, especially Excel.
• Proactive, solution-focused with ability to implement improvements in statutory housing functions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the Council's Renters' Rights Act activities and support delivery of statutory duties.
• Collate, analyse and report service performance data and government returns.
• Support Housing Standards Officers with compliance and enforcement activities.
• Assist case management across the private rented sector.
• Maintain accurate records and databases for decision-making.
• Act as point of contact for landlords, tenants and partner agencies, coordinating responses.
